Over the years, the BOD and committee have requested feedback on how we can improve the AFMS show. Last year, we had a roundtable that included measurement specialists from six different companies, including TransCanada, Boardwalk Pipeline, Columbia Gulf, Enbridge, etc. We heard a common theme – more training is needed to fill the gap between the experienced measurement specialists as they retire and the guys coming up in the ranks now. We also heard from both presenters and attendees that an hour is not enough time to get into enough depth to make a meaningful impact.
Based on this, we are changing the format for AFMS to a full 2 day show to be able to offer in depth, hands on training.
